Hair Curling Tongs have been around for a while now and it’s become apparently obvious they are really coming back into fashion, I’ve been using hair curling tongs for a while now and the compliments just keep on coming, and they’re getting better. Hair curling tongs come in many different materials and there are many different types. The hairdressers don’t seem to stick to one brand in particular but these is a certain type of hair curling tong that they do use.

This type of hair curling tong’s are based on the same technology as the usual familiar ones. They are practically exactly the same as the ones we know actually apart from a slight change. The hair curling tongs that they seem to use at the hairdressers have no clip. The handle of the hair curling tongs are still there, in the same places, but the clip that locks your hair into the hair curling tongs is non-existent. Apparently these work better than the ones we are all so used to, but trying to find then proved to be quite difficult.

After speaking to people and doing some intensive research about these special hair curling tongs I found out that they are virtually impossible to use on your own head, also the hair curling tongs are hard to use a customer’s head, which meant I have no chance. Professional hairdressers should take the hair curling tongs with no clip, and grab your hair with the same hand. Whilst doing this they should wrap wind their hand round and round, until there is no more hair to go around the hair curling tongs. They should then allow your hair to react to the hair curling tongs for a short period of time, before removing the hair curling tong to work on another strand of your hair.

They usually use special gloves to stop themselves from being burnt. These special gloves are called kelvar gloves and they are especially designers for hairdressers to eliminate of lessen to chance of being burned by the open hot rod. Obviously you won’t need to use any special gloves like the kelvar gloves when you are using your hair curling tongs at home bcause the clip (or clamp as it’s often called) is protecting your hand from the hot rod. However be sure to be careful when working with hair curling tongs as they can be dangerous should you not take care when handling them, other than that, you will be fine.
